- Recently I have completed my first year of medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University.
About Me
After graduation I worked as a lab technician at the Center for Translational Medicine at Jefferson University where my research focused on the underlying molecular mechanisms of asthma and COPD. Other areas on interested included the molecular mechanisms of food allergy and cannabis allergy. My work has been published in the Journal of Allergy and Immunology in Practice as well as American Journal of Physiology-Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology. My most recent work focuses on the physiological conditions that increase susceptibility to COVID-19 infections. Some of my academic interests include smooth muscle physiology, exercise physiology, lung physiology, the immune system and cannabis allergy. When not working or studying I volunteer at the Delta Health Institute, which provides much needed health screenings for underserved populations in the Delta region, and NYIT COM's after school program, which teaches basic science and anatomy to school aged children. My passion has always been learning about medicine and I love to help other passionate students discover their own interests. I also enjoy golf, basketball, and weightlifting.
