For graduate school, I went to CUNY City College and I received my Masters of Arts in Generalist Special Education 7-12. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, currently, work for the Department of Education in NYC, and became a teacher leader at my current school. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I have been teaching for 9 years in a NYC title 1 public school and I currently teach 10th and 12th grade English in an integrated co-teaching setting and a self-contained setting as well. I am well versed in differenation and implementing strategies to help students, specifically special education students. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with friends, and binging Netflix shows.
