I recently graduated from Cornell University and am current a graduate student in Columbia University's Graduate School for English. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have helped many students formulate and write their personal statement. I believe mathematics is very easy if taught correctly. Teachers and professors who have been teaching a math for many years may grow accustomed to their own teaching styles. Therefore, they may assume that a student remembers a specific concept, and rather than going over said concept, they hastily build upon misunderstood fundamentals. When I was in university, I understand that maths can be challenging for a lot of people because teacher and professors may explain math as if they are talking to other mathematicians.
