About Me
I am currently enrolled at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, where I am working toward my Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology, with a focus in literacy. I believe deeply in the power of education and have dedicated much of my life to it as the daughter of an educator and as a former educator myself. My direct classroom experience includes a year teaching Spanish to 4th graders, a semester as Elementary ELL support, and a year teaching high school Algebra in a bilingual, inclusive classroom in the Bronx. Outside of the classroom, I have served as a community development volunteer in Cusco, Peru, provided English language support in Chacraseca, Nicaragua, helped facilitate an after-school enrichment program, and have tutored independently for over three years. I find that students often need to build the belief in their own ability as they build on content knowledge. Along with my studies and passion for education, I also love to spend time trying out challenging new recipes, watching movies, reading, hiking, and exploring Boston.
Hobbies & Interests
