I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. Since graduation, I worked as a teaching assistant with Blue Engine, an education non-profit in New York City that accelerates student achievement by harnessing the power of team teaching. In my two years with Blue Engine, I taught Algebra I and Algebra II. Next year I will be teaching 8th Grade Math and Geometry as a full time teacher in a public school while completing my Masters degree in Teaching through Relay Graduate School of Education. I'm passionate about teaching math through problem solving and I push against the idea that math is a set of rules to be memorized. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, coffee, and salsa dancing.
