About Me
I first started working as a tutor in 2012, when I tutored students in writing at Drexel, and went on to work as a tutor in a wider variety of subjects - environmental science, biology, writing, European and U.S. History, and other social studies courses- for students ranging from middle school through college. I am currently working as a lab instructor at Temple University, where I teach both underclass and upperclass biology courses. I aim to make learning fun and take pride in engaging my students on the topic of the day, even when it's something they may not be as passionate about. I work hard to engage my students, and try to approach the material from an angle that will draw them in. I am comfortable in group settings, or one-on-one, either in person or virtually, and like to tailor my sessions to the individual needs of the student - whether they need help understanding the material, with strategies for studying, or even just with motivation. I have a good deal of experience working with students who are studying for the AP exams, and have many strategies for studying for them (especially for those students who don't like to study!).
Hobbies & Interests
I love birding, cooking, and photography, and run a small animal rescue in my spare time!
