I am a college professor with over 10 years experience teaching in higher education (and have loved every minute of it). I am an artist, having received my Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I also taught Sculpture. In addition to Art, I love History, Philosophy, and geeking out on Math & Technology. More than anything, I love to learn, and I hope to collaborate on a learning experience that is as much fun as it is challenging.

I believe the knowledge, skills, and attitudes a person learns should never exist in a bubble: the more new ideas connect to other areas of knowledge, the stronger and richer that knowledge becomes. I want to make the connections visible and tangible, and connect them directly to life whenever possible. Learning is most satisfying when a student can own it and internalize it as a relevant part of his or her path in life.
