I will be graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Spanish. While I tutor a wide variety of subjects, I am most passionate about SAT/ACT Reading and Writing, Spanish, History, and ESOL. I enjoy being a tutor because I love to help students strive for and achieve their goals! I am familiar with the SAT and ACT reading and writing sections, and I can help students improve their scores by walking them through practice questions AND giving them my own testing strategies. I know the SAT and ACT can be stressful for students, but I prepare them so that they walk into the testing room feeling confident and ready! I am fluent in Spanish and have studied in both Argentina and Spain, so I can help students master not only grammar and syntax, but also the difficulties of listening and speaking. I also have experience teaching English to non-native speakers of all ages, from as young as 6 to as old as 60. No matter what level of English you have, I will help figure out the best way for you to learn! I chose to become a Varsity Tutor because I want to make learning enjoyable and I want to help students overcome the challenges they face. Every student has the potential to improve. I want to help unleash that potential. I look forward to our first tutoring session!
