At times in my experience, being given the tools for intuitive, creative, and structured thinking proves more beneficial than linear facts. I believe that if a student is given the credit for having a gift in some undiscovered area, that this given credit will then allow the student to have the confidence, and the patience, of letting themselves be discovered. I like to, occasionally, include things like discussions, physical exercises, and academic exercises from other areas of study to help cultivate an environment of learning. If I am placed in a situation both blindfolded and with my ears covered, then I must rely on some other method of identifying the world around me. The painter must learn how to see. The writer must learn how to listen.
