As a former high school teacher, business professional, and current statistician I know and believe in the value of mathematics in today's society. I strive to help students accomplish their current tasks while reinforcing the fundamentals that will help them be independent learners in the future. Even if a student does not love math, it is important for them to work on the problem solving skills developed while learning mathematical concepts as those skills will be applicable in all areas of life. I also have experience using math in the real world from my job in lumber sales & statistical consultations during my time at Colorado State University.
