About Me
I graduated as valedictorian at Birdville High School, and now I'm a student at Vanderbilt University pursuing a BA in Cognitive Studies and a minor in Corporate Strategies. I have worked at the Mama Lere Hearing School at the Vanderbilt Medical Center for deaf preschoolers as well as volunteered as a first grade Sunday School teacher. In addition, I have had multiple ongoing volunteer positions as a tutor in schools in low-income areas in the subjects of Algebra I/II and English Language Arts. I have had the privilege of helping these students rise up beyond the any expectations, and I believe that a large part of their success comes not only from tutoring but from mentorship. While I am able to tutor in a wide range of subjects, my strength lies in test prep. I remember not too long ago the stresses and anxieties that came with testing and can relate and better understand how students think and how to improve their approaches. Every student has the potential to succeed, and I am determined to help them reach the highest they can. I'm also fluent in Vietnamese and have traveled across the world. In my spare time, I am often trying out new restaurants, reading, spending time with my large family, or baking copious amounts of desserts. I look forward to working together with your student to help them succeed and reach their potential!
