  • Since I was young, I have always helped my peers in subjects that I felt comfortable in like Math and sometimes Science.
  • Growing up, my family was very strict when it came to school.

About Me

Sometimes, I like to use real life situations as examples, providing the student with a more entertaining and sometimes clearer perspective on the matter. When I came home with a poor grade in any subject, I would always get disciplined severely. At the time I disliked it tremendously and hoped they would never do it, however as I look back at it now, I know that it was very helpful and helped me become the person I am today. Currently I attend St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, studying to become a pharmacist and receive a PharmD degree. In the fall, I will be enrolling in my third year, the start of the professional years. Interestingly enough, science, specifically chemistry, was not on my list of my favorite subjects, but as I started learning more concepts, it suddenly became more revealing and interesting. Personally, I was never a "know-it-all" student, as I too had multiple tutors growing up. I had a math tutor from grade 7 until grade 11, helping me prepare for the regents, as well as the SAT and an English tutor just for the SAT. Interestingly enough, I felt that out of all the tutors I had, none of them had a key quality that I believe each tutor should have, and that is patience. When a tutor demonstrates patience, it allows the student to get the material at his or her own pace. Each student learns and grasps information in different ways, therefore, patience is necessary at all times. Throughout my school years, I had many interests and hobbies like sports and music. But how did i manage to play sports and make music and have time to study? My recommendation to all you fellow students is try to get all your work done as soon as it is assigned and after you finished it, I am sure it will leave you with enough time to do whatever interests you. Whether you choose to have me as your tutor or not, I hope you follow my life lesson and I hope you get a tutor who has patience. Good luck!
