I spent the entire next academic year tutoring math full-time at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, MA, as part of Match Education's "Match Corps." I am currently pursuing graduate studies at Tufts University. In addition to tutoring (privately as well as with Match Corps), I have experience leading classrooms of elementary to high school aged students, in schools ranging from New Hampshire to Ghana. I love tutoring students in math, test preparation, and music. I believe that education is the most essential element in any society, and feel privileged to be pursuing it as a career. Students enjoy my tutoring style and feel comfortable asking questions and pushing their own cognitive limits. Lessons are generally planned and scaffolded, adhering to an individualized curriculum often aligned with the student's school curriculum (as understood through communication with his/her teacher(s)). Open discussion and free exploration of the topic at hand are always encouraged.
