Hello, I am currently attending University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I completed my Associates in Science in 2016.I have worked as a professor assistant for a college math class for a semester. I also tutor my classmate for the different courses. My favorite subject to tutor is math because of its beauty of having a link with every other technical subjects. I like to put myself as a student when I tutor so I can understand the problem a student is having and then from there solving all problem one by one. I believe in the motto "Never a failure, always a lesson." so we should keep learning and expanding our horizon of knowledge regardless of failure we have.

My professional mission as a teacher is to motivate, encourage, inspire, and provide support to students by means of providing a secure safe and loving environment where I can help in educating them emotionally, socially, as well as cognitively. This allows them to continue to establish a foundation that they can use for their life-long learning process.I understand that parents are the primary educators for students, and that is why I believe it is imperative to build a strong parent teacher relationship. I believe that students all have the capability to be self-learners if teachers are able to build relationships with things they familiar with to connect with the concepts they are learning. Although children may have different learning styles, all children have the innate capability to learn, and I believe as an educator, it is my job to facilitate this process. As a teacher, I do feel it is necessary to focus on what's best for the student and their goals. Students will grow and develop in various areas of their education, but the key to retaining information is making the learning process an experience. If students are able to explore these topics they will experience a higher level of learning. I always establish a sense of respect with my students by being genuine, transparent, and receptive to students' ideas and opinions. Once students are able to come to an understanding, the potential for learning and growth becomes unlimited.

I lived in Japan for a year learning about both the culture and the language. By the end of my time there, I was credited by my sense I for having enough knowledge to work within a Japanese company, but not quite enough yet to be considered fluent. I then returned to my original, attending school at the University of North Texas. From there, I graduated with a minor in Japanese, and furthermore became the first person to receive a Japanese Certificate from my university, which acknowledges that I am proficient enough in Japanese to successfully operate at the business and professional level. Since then, I have continued my own personal study and development of the language, in hope of one day becoming fully fluent. In the 3 years in which I have been learning Japanese, I have found that one extremely effective way to solidly and maintain my language skills is through actually teaching the language myself. Although I have only done this with the English language, I have tutoring experience with people of all ages. Most of my past tutoring experience have been with students/young adults, but I also have experience tutoring those far older than myself. Having actually been taught Japanese by Japanese people, and having actually lived and worked part-time while I was there, I do feel that there is a lot more that I can offer (and arguably in much more effective ways) as a tutor than simply just remembering kanji characters. What does a typical tutoring session with me look like? To start off, I typically would like for us to get to know each other a bit better, so that we can figure out what exactly and in what ways you are wanting to progress in Japanese. This also allows me to understand better which types of teaching methods would work best with you. If you are already learning Japanese through your school, then we will mainly work alongside your already assigned topics, or alongside your issued text book, while also incorporating a little bit of information and tips from my own lesson plans. The important thing to note is that I will be very careful not to overloading you with lots of new things to learn from me, while you are also dealing with new lessons from your school's Japanese class. However, if you are not enrolled in your school's class, then typically each meeting will be comprised of us going through a listening, speaking, reading, and writing section, thereby covering a little bit of each part of the language as a whole. Through each section, I will steadily introduce new vocabulary, phrases, grammar points, kanji characters, and even points of interest about the culture. At the end of each lesson, we will briefly review all new material, and I will typically assign homework that requires you to write or talk about something that incorporates some of the new material we just covered. It should be noted that the amount time we spend on one section for each meeting will highly depend on the number of times we meet up each week. With that, it is also important to note that your progress will depend heavily on the amount of time you spend practicing and learning Japanese. Once you have proven to be proficient in basic communication, we will then work towards speaking English only when necessary, and then even further towards only communicating in Japanese. I have personally been taught Japanese by both U.S. and Japanese schools, and I find this method to be undoubtably the most effective way for students to progress in proficiency. We will cover anything and everything from useful kanji, natural expressions, writing and speaking differences, formalities, cultural influxes, and much more. You can be anywhere from beginner to intermediate, so its okay if you only need to strengthen grammar expressions, or or if you are having trouble simply remembering the differences between hiragana and katana. And if you dont know anything, than thats okay too! Because I guarantee, no matter what your level is, you will always leave our lessons having learned and remembered more than one new thing at a time. So, what about my character/personality? I love to learn and meet new people, as well as help out in any way I possibly can. I strive to always progress, and will expect you to at least be open to influencing you to be the same. I am extremely adaptable and understanding, which generally makes it easy for me to recognize where you are and how you feel in any given situation. Im also patient and extremely open-minded, so I will try my absolute best to help you in the most effective ways possible. If for any reason you are just not retaining information, or things are not working out as plan, I will do my best to be as flexible as I can, and figure out new way/methods that are more effective for you! Nothing is more satisfying to me than being able to help someone in a way that makes him/her a better person, and aim honestly believe I will be doing just that by making you more and more proficient in a language other than English. For this reason, I feel I can be a great tutor for essentially anyone and everyone who is willing to come with an open mind, and lots of determination to tackle one of the most difficult languages to learn in the world. If you're still not sold, I strongly encourage you to please message me with any questions or concerns you may have, so that we can work together towards improving your language skills!

Frequently Asked Questions
The AP Literature exam's three essays—analyzing a poem, analyzing a prose passage, and writing an argument about a work of your choice—require very different skills, and many students struggle with the timed nature of synthesizing analysis in 40 minutes per essay. The multiple-choice section (55 questions in 60 minutes) tests both comprehension and inference, but students often rush through passages without identifying the author's tone or thematic complexity. Tutors help students develop a systematic approach to each section: close reading strategies for poetry's compressed language, annotation techniques for prose passages, and argument-building frameworks that work under time pressure.
Poetry's compressed language, figurative devices, and formal elements (meter, rhyme scheme, enjambment) require students to slow down and examine word choice at a microscopic level—something that feels counterintuitive in a timed test environment. Many students default to surface-level readings or focus only on what a poem "means" rather than analyzing how the poet creates meaning through sound and structure. Expert tutors teach students to build a toolkit for poetry: identifying literary devices quickly, understanding how form reinforces content, and practicing close reading with actual AP exam poems so students develop confidence recognizing patterns they'll see on test day.
The free-response essay (where you choose a work to analyze) is where students often lose points because they either pick a work they don't know well enough or write a generic essay that doesn't engage with specific textual evidence. Tutors work with students to build a strategic list of 3-4 texts they know deeply—ideally texts assigned in class—and then practice writing timed essays that balance thesis clarity with specific, integrated quotes. The focus is on thesis development (making an argument beyond plot summary), selecting evidence that directly supports your claim, and explaining the "so what?" of each piece of evidence rather than just dropping quotes into paragraphs.
With 55 questions in 60 minutes, students often either rush through passages and miss nuance or spend too long on one question and run out of time. Expert tutors teach a strategic approach: read the passage actively (annotating for tone, shifts, and main ideas), tackle questions in order of difficulty (answering straightforward comprehension questions first, saving inference questions for after you've built confidence), and use elimination aggressively when you're unsure. Practice with released AP exams is essential—students need to time themselves repeatedly to internalize a sustainable pace and identify which question types consistently trip them up.
Many students can identify devices like metaphor or alliteration but struggle to explain why the author chose that device and what effect it creates—which is what AP scorers actually reward. Tutors help students move beyond naming devices to analyzing their function: Does this metaphor reveal character perspective? Does this alliteration emphasize a key word or create a particular rhythm? Practice involves reading passages and annotating not just "what device is this?" but "what does this device do for the author's argument or tone?" Over time, this analytical habit becomes automatic, and students can write stronger analysis faster.
Students often choose a strong thesis but then support it with plot summary or vague generalizations rather than specific scenes, quotes, or moments that directly prove their argument. For example, a student might argue "Lady Macbeth's ambition destroys her" but then spend sentences retelling what happens instead of analyzing a specific scene that demonstrates her psychological unraveling. Tutors help students practice selecting the most powerful, specific evidence and then explaining the connection between that evidence and their thesis in 2-3 sentences. The goal is making every piece of evidence do analytical work, not just illustrating the plot.
Test anxiety often manifests as either rushing through passages (missing nuance and misreading questions) or overthinking single questions (running out of time for later sections). Tutors help students build confidence through repeated, timed practice with actual released exams so the format becomes familiar and less intimidating. Additionally, developing a personal pacing strategy—knowing exactly how many minutes to spend on each passage, when to move on from a tough question, and which sections to tackle first—gives students concrete control during the exam, which reduces anxiety. Many students also benefit from practicing relaxation techniques and reframing their internal dialogue during timed practice sessions.
Taking full-length practice tests under timed conditions is the most reliable way to diagnose patterns: Are you losing points on poetry analysis, prose analysis, or argument essays? Within each section, are certain question types (inference vs. tone vs. purpose) consistently difficult? Tutors use practice test data to create targeted improvement plans—if a student struggles with inference questions, they focus on reading between the lines and understanding implicit meaning; if argument essays are weak, they practice evidence selection and integration. Regular practice tests (ideally every 2-3 weeks leading up to the exam) allow both students and tutors to track progress and adjust strategy based on actual performance data.
