About Me
As an enthusiastic lifelong learner with a B.S. in Biology from Colorado State University, I have over 2 years of teaching experience in both classroom and tutoring settings. My passion and highest qualification lies in Biology, but I also enjoy tutoring in Discrete Mathematics and English, the latter focusing on reading comprehension and essay writing. My teaching philosophy, "Stay Curious," reflects my belief in fostering a love for inquiry and exploration in my students. I approach tutoring with empathy, drawing from my own experiences with learning disabilities, to tailor my methods to meet individual needs. I am dedicated to making learning accessible and enjoyable, and I'm flexible with my availability to accommodate diverse schedules. Outside of academics, I am an avid hockey fan and enjoy ice skating and hiking, with a particular fondness for keeping up with research on salamanders and octopuses. For those looking for a Biology tutor in more concentrated courses, I am especially knowledgeable about genetics and animal sciences (general or specific i.e. herpetology, ichthyology, etc. courses).
