I specialize in reading instruction, phonics, reading comprehension, and elementary education, with a strong background in supporting diverse learners, including ELL and ESE students. I also served as a reading specialist, working one-on-one and in small groups to diagnose reading challenges, implement targeted interventions, and help struggling readers make meaningful gains. I focus heavily on improving reading fluency and strengthening students' decoding skills through research based strategies that build accuracy, automaticity, and confidence. I have extensive experience integrating technology such as Varsity Tutors, Nearpod, and other interactive platforms to maximize student growth and motivation. Whether a student needs extra support, enrichment, or test preparation, I am committed to providing a supportive, high-impact learning experience tailored to their individual needs.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and exploring new ideas, which helps me bring fresh perspectives to my lessons. I also have a deep appreciation for technology and interactive learning, and I love incorporating engaging methods—sometimes inspired by my own enjoyment of gaming—to help students stay motivated. My two cats keep me entertained, and my daughter keeps me on my toes! As a parent myself, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
