I have been admitted to their Dual Admission BS/DO Program and their Razor's Edge Global Scholarship Program. I plan to attend medical school and become a Physician. Throughout my educational career, I have always enjoyed learning and believe it to be a component to a better quality of life. This has made me a passionate tutor as I wish to help others reach their desired goals and obtain an appreciation for education. I attended South Elgin High School where I tutored my fellow peers in various subjects. Throughout this experience, I realized that there is a difference between muscle memory and a deep understanding. Simply knowing what to do when understanding subjects isn't enough if you don't understand why you are doing it. Therefore, as tutor I aim to help students understand what they are doing when they are accomplishing problems and developing a muscle memory so that they can tackle harder, more critical thinking questions when they are thrown at them. I believe it is important to explain things in terms that students can relate to/ understand better than just memorizing a definition.

In my spare time I volunteer at the Emergency Room and Day Surgery Departments of my local hospital however, apart from my education, I have many passions that enrich my life. I enjoy playing basketball, painting, crocheting, exercising, playing the piano, and relaxing with a good show or spending time with my friends or family. I also have a strong passion for traveling, specifically exploring various countries and national parks. Because of my adventurous and curious spirit, I am always looking for new things to try or do. Whether it be learning a new skill, attempting a new hobby, trying new foods, or exploring a new area I am always looking to broaden my horizons!
