About Me
Hello! Understanding what motivates people through a combination of math, writing, reading, and critical thinking motivated my decision to study these fields. While at the University of Maryland, I worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in Applied Econometrics, a quantitative economics course. In this role, I hosted group review sessions, one-on-one tutoring sessions, and helped students through any and all of their challenges related to the course. I also had opportunities to tutor through school and work with kids outside of school, and am excited to continue that on this platform!
Hobbies & Interests
I am most interested in American history post-WWII. Throughout college, I conducted research on the North American Free Trade Agreement and its impact on small-scale farmers. I also explored the role of the War on Poverty in addressing water inequality in Appalachia during the latter half of the 20th century. I am also generally interested in politics and current events! Besides academics, I was part of a service dog training program at school and enjoyed working with puppies in order to provide their future handlers with a life-changing tool and companion! Finally, I am an athlete outside of school. I have learned many time management and organizational skills from balancing my time as an athlete and a student throughout high school and college. I love spending time outside and being active!
