I'm a poet, editor, teacher, and painter, and I recently earned my MFA in Creative Writing at BU. I currently teaching writing - creative and academic- at Boston University and at Summer Ink, a Simmons University program. For my undergraduate degree, I studied both English and Education, earning my English Secondary Teaching Certificate in Pennsylvania. After graduating, I moved to Budapest to teach history, art, writing, and music for three years. During my fourth year in Hungary, I trained interpreters for the EU and taught literature, philosophy, and rhetoric in an American high school. I've had a lot of experience teaching ESL and preparing students for the IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge English Exams, and I use engaging, innovative methods which are tailored to the interests and needs of each student.

I'm a painter and musician, and I love refurbishing old instruments and painting them with landscape scenes. I play guitar and piano and compose music, a hobby which works hand-in-hand with poetry. I'm very active, and love to bike, swim, and rock climb. Currently, I'm learning Hungarian (it keeps me humble) and working on translating some Hungarian poetry into English. I love board games and DnD, and hope to someday be an overachieving DM.
