I have been teaching for the past 10 years and I have taught grades 4-6, and 8th grade. I spent 7 years alone in 5th grade where I developed my own curriculum on fractions. There are 4 presentations on fractions each covering all 4 operations. Each day's lesson is embedded with videos of me giving a tutorial on how to solve the specific type of problem we are addressing. A school is a place that should be fun and engaging for all parties involved. I create content so the classroom structure is more student-centered and use apps to engage scholars. No subject should be stressful especially for a 10-year-old. My undergrad degree is in Theatre Arts: Acting from Howard University and I spend my free time writing and shooting movies.
