During this time, I have taught students from 3rd grade to college level. The subjects I have taught are reading, spelling, writing, high school English, AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition. I Currently have students in all of these subjects. I have also helped in test prep this year with the GRE Writing portion, ACT English and Writing portion, SAT English portion, TACHS English portion, and PSAT English Portion, AP English Language and Composition, and AP English Literature and Composition. Many of my students have successfully passed these tests with a High Pass or on the AP 4's and 5's. My degree is from Cal State Fullerton in Business. I also have 2 credentials from Cal State Teach in California, multi-subject for elementary school, and a Single subject in English for high school. After a lengthy career in business, I pursued, and fell in love with a career in teaching! For 17 years, I predominately taught ESL students in elementary and high school. Even though, I didn't speak Spanish, I managed to teach my students successfully, with many going on to Ivy League Universities. I am experienced in teaching English, reading/writing K-12, AP Literature 6 yrs AP Language and Composition 6 yrs ,Test prep for AP Lit and AP Lang as well as writing for the GRE. Currently I have a seasonal position, working for ETS grading GRE and AP Language and Composition tests. I have graded these tests for 6 years. Also I work for Measurement Inc., grading the Star testing in English Writing for elementary grades.

I retired to the Texas Hill Country, where I discovered the love of outdoor landscaping. As Texas is such a large state, I love traveling to the hidden small towns, which represent so much of the culture of the South. Quilting is my art form, traditional and modern. I also enjoy walking and hiking on the many trails in Texas. Especially if they are by a creek or a river!
