I have an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, and I am certified to teach middle school and ESL through the state of Texas. I take professional development courses regularly to maintain my credential and build new skills. I teach all areas of English instruction from phonics and emergent reading to high school literature and writing. I also specialize in test prep for the ISEE and various state exams. My favorite things about working with students through Varsity is working to meet individual student needs and working in a vast variety of content pertaining to English. I might start my morning working on systematic phonics instruction and emergent literacy, hop to elementary school math and reading comprehension, and end the morning studying Shakespeare. I genuinely enjoy working with my students through Varsity and creating unique lessons to meet student needs and interests!
