I am also a participant in the federally-sponsored Chinese Language Flagship program that supports students in attaining full business proficiency in Mandarin. While I currently tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about teaching Mandarin, political science, government, and world history. As a second-language learner myself, I understand the struggles one may encounter when trying to memorize vocabulary or understand new grammar structures. It brings me much joy to share my strategies for overcoming these struggles with students & watch as their grasp on the language improves! In regards to the other subjects, understanding politics & history is essential to helping students make better sense of the world they live in. I will help students better comprehend the historical context for certain modern developments, different political frameworks, and important terminology used in the field.
