- Education has always been a big part of my life.
About Me
In graduate school, my instructors would often ask me to work with other students in class who needed assistance with the current lesson. This gift of being able to help others resonated with me and I realized very quickly that everyone does not learn in the same way. To tell you a little bit about me, I have over 8 years of working as a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. I'm also certified as a Registered Behavior Technician. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I specialize in a number of subjects (articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, swallowing, autism, AAC, etc).I am a patient, kind tutor with a knack for easing anxiety. I understand that students retain best what they do themselves. For this reason, my tutoring philosophy is to allow the student to go as far as he or she can alone and then give the tools necessary to figure the rest out together. This process continues until the student feels confident doing the work alone. I often incorporate motivating activities into my tutoring session to help the student achieve their goals. I currently accepting students to be tutored in the following areas/skills: PRAXIS SLP, articulation, reading, grammar, vocabulary, etc. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to tutoring you.
Hobbies & Interests
My interests lie in the worlds of the arts – paintings and sculpture, books, theatre, and poetry.
