About Me
I spent my last few summers working in Switzerland as a camp counselor with children from all over the world. I loved learning about their cultures and languages while helping them improve their English skills. During high school, I tutored elementary and middle school children living in transitional living facilities in a variety of subjects. Throughout college I tutored other college students in statistics, algebra, and edited essays. I have always had a passion for math and statistics but also enjoy the writing and editing process. While working with both privileged and underprivileged children, I have learned that each child has a unique way of learning and with patience any student can succeed. At times, I struggled in school and know the feeling of frustration and defeat that come with not understanding something. However, because of this I also know how amazing it feels when you experience that "light bulb" moment. I believe these moments can determine a student's confidence and that they should be celebrated more enthusiastically. It's not just enough for a tutor to be this way. We (tutors) must teach our students to be patience with themselves and to have confidence in their abilities as well.
Hobbies & Interests
I love traveling and exploring new places! When I am not traveling I enjoy baking, painting, and hiking.
