I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Science-Computing--the University's equivalent of the pre-med major, but with additional credits reserved for a few Computer Science electives. While there, tutoring was one of the main activities I was involved in, and I found it deeply fulfilling when I'd see a certain idea suddenly click for my tutees. I'm constantly amazed by how connected even the most disparate of STEM concepts can be, like the gears of a well-oiled machine: when learning new material, I always find myself revisiting old ideas in some new light and find unexpected relationships between the two. I'm a strong visual learner, and this is reflected in my style of tutoring. I think that being able to picture something clearly instantly makes it significantly less abstract, and is particularly helpful when trying to dissect the inner workings of some multi-step process. That said, this isn't the only way I approach things, and there's enough flexibility with the sciences that I'd feel comfortable approaching things from some other angle, if it'd be more fruitful. Beyond academics, I love playing the piano, learning computer programming, and video games, especially the main Mario titles (SMB3, 3D Land, Galaxy, Odyssey, etc.): of the ones I've played, I'm proud to say that I've completed all of them 100%.
