Much of my teaching experience thus far has involved working directly with students who have a wide variety of learning differences. My teaching philosophy revolves very much around the idea of helping students "learn to love learning," which is achieved by empowering learners of all ages and abilities to understand their own unique learning styles, and thereby capitalize on their strengths while also building up the areas in which they feel less able or confident. In my teaching approach I place a high value on multi-modal and authentic instructional methods. These principles combined help students receive and review information from a variety of different angles and approaches, while also attaching relevance to content by connecting it to their everyday lives.
