Ian
- I am familiar with most topics in analytic philosophy, but I have a special interest in metaphysics and logic.
- Generally, I enjoy working with others to solve problems or develop solutions.
About Me
I completed my education at Bowling Green State University having acquired a bachelor's degree in philosophy with a minor in computer science. Throughout my education I made special efforts to work with my peers outside of the classroom in pursuit of such cooperative experiences. I also have volunteered as a camp counselor in the past and appreciate helping out younger people. While I am comfortable tutoring most subjects I find the tangibility and sense of accomplishment provided through grasping topics in computer science most rewarding. Moreover, given the prevalence of information technologies, discovering how they work goes a long way in demystifying our world today. My teaching strategy is to develop the skills required to solve problems systematically. Otherwise, I prefer to approach topics from multiple perspective using models or alternative strategies. This helps to ensure clarity and aims to instill a more conceptual understanding of the topic.
