About Me
I received a high-caliber education at Ursuline Academy of Dallas, where I took more than a dozen honors classes. At Thomas Aquinas College, I take both learning and teaching a step further. Their unique seminar method requires students to teach one another not just occasionally, but for the duration of each class, every day. In this environment, I thrive because I know how to adapt my method to each student. I explain complicated concepts patiently, moving on only when the student can explain the concept. Patience and creativity are especially important with children, who are also some of the most rewarding students to teach. Though I excel in and enjoy a myriad of subjects, literature and writing remain my favorites because of my lifelong love of reading which is also why I work part-time in a library, repairing old books. I could spend all day in libraries, but I'd rather take my books on a hike in the beautiful hills surrounding my school. When I camp out, I can watch the stars and put my knowledge of astronomy to good use. But whether I'm hiking, book-binding, reading, or drawing planetary orbits on a blackboard, I never want to be too far from learning something new.
