I am in my fourth year as a math education and math double major at Winona State University in Winona, MN. I have worked for about four years as a University math tutor and have tutored classes ranging from college Algebra to introductory real analysis. Most importantly, I love learning and teaching others about math! My favorite subject to tutor is Calculus, in particular Calculus 1, because I love the depth of intuition one can achieve by thinking about topics visually. I classify my teaching/tutoring style as Experimentalist, in the sense of John Dewey, because I believe that learning is best done through hands-on experience. I recognize that students' learning styles vary drastically, so I love implementing a number of educational techniques, be they aural, visual, or kinesthetic, to maximize student engagement with content. My extra-academic interests include learning about mathematics recreationally, watching movies and TV shows, and playing video games.
