A first-generation college graduate of Harvard College, Alicia found life in literature, tetherball, and the unconditional love of a single mother. Inspired by these social justice educators, Alicia is invested in institutional equity, centering historically marginalized narratives in the classroom, and cultivating young readers in Denver during her residency year as a concurrent masters student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She joins her older brother Andy in the teaching profession.
