As a high school student, I was exceptionally mediocre at school. Fortunately I was accepted to Western Washington University. It was my time at Western that I found what I was capable of. Chemistry, and mathematics are such daunting subjects, I never imagined I would be able to grasp them, after all academics were not my strong suit. Through hard work, endless study sessions, and a blossoming passion I was able to prevail and call myself a scientist. My dream is to one day become a professor of biochemistry; a pursuit near to my heart. Biochemical interpretations of the world around us fascinate me, and I would like to share my excitement for the subject with you.
