I was outside of my home playing with the locals, when a parent came up to me and said, "You look smart enough, come help my son in math." I was a little shy and nervous at the time, plus the fact that her son was 3 years older than me, I wasn't sure what to expect. The first day of tutoring I looked at his homework and said to him this looks pretty easy. After a few more sessions he told me he wanted to show me something, he pulled out a quiz he took and pointed at his %100. He told me it was the first %100 ever; I took out a $20 bill and told him this is my first $20 ever (his mother paid me for tutoring him that day). Since then I have been tutoring in various capacities, from high school students to siblings. My goal is to ensure that everyone I interact with are one step closer to being successful.
