Prior to attending graduate school here in the Twin Cities, I completed my bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Denver with a minor in international studies. As someone with extensive experience taking various standardized tests (GMAT, ACT, SAT, AP Exams, etc.), and is currently in the process of completing the CPA exams, I feel that I am a great resource for students preparing for similar tests. Having taken numerous standardized exams so recently, I am very familiar with the subject matters tested, as well as with strong study habits, time management, and test taking strategies. I have a passion for coaching and teaching young people, and have always enjoyed helping friends and classmates that are struggling in academic areas in which I feel I can assist. For almost a decade now, I have coached ice hockey on and off. Throughout my undergrad years I worked at the local ice rink as a goaltending coach for goalies 10-17 years old. I also taught learn-to-skate classes for students four years old and up. My experience as a coach and youth counselor has taught me a lot about communicating with students of all ages and has equipped me with the confidence and expertise necessary to provide fun and effective tutoring sessions. When I am not studying for my next CPA exam or working with students I enjoy reading about current events, wake surfing, golfing, seeing live music, and playing with my puppy.
