I tutor standardized tests, English reading and writing, Spanish, and Latin, as well as my favorite subject to teach: math. I love teaching math because seemingly complicated problems can always be broken down into simpler steps, and it is rewarding to help students understand concepts that seem daunting to them at first. While tutoring math, it is very clear that each and every student has potential, and some use need guidance to discover what they are capable of. The best way to help someone learn is to show them how to take and active role in the learning process. Apart from tutoring, I also love painting in both oil and watercolor, playing rugby, and skiing.
