I have always been fascinated by my mathematical studies and, having a flair for the subject, there was never any doubt that I would choose Engineering as a degree. Mathematics is a pivotal subject on which so many others depend (such as physics and chemistry). I relish the challenge of problem solving that mathematics provides. My interest has spread to computers and trying to link the two together has played a big part of my life in the last few years. I have taught myself, using books and other available sources, how to program in JAVA and HTML and this has made it possible for me to take an active role in web design. I'm looking forward to experiencing university life - it will not only give me the academic grounds to get into careers like Computer Science and research, but the social experience in itself is something to look forward to.
