My goal in working with students is to cultivate a passion for the material, to contextualize the content, and to transfer that excitement into articulate conversations. I have always loved guiding people through material - whether in an art museum with my parents or in class with my friends. This passion for school is augmented by a deep understanding of learning techniques and study skills. So while I believe the key to a student understanding material is a deep engagement with it, I also have tools to help recall and organize information. I specialize in History, Psychology, English, Reading, and Writing. I have experience with a wide variety of age groups from 10 to 18.I am a theater director and freelance artist. However, when I am not at the theater I can be found listening to podcasts, watching reality tv, playing video games, or reading. Travelling is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I just got finished solo backpacking around Europe this summer and have been to India, China, Australia, and Central America.
