About Me

I am a science tutor with a positive, patient, and straightforward approach to teaching. I currently teach part-time with the Chemistry Department at Hunter College and have extensive experience tutoring high school and undergraduate students in the sciences and test prep. My specialities are General Chemistry, Biology, and SAT test prep. To share a little more of my background: I graduated with honors from Wesleyan University in 2008 with my BA in Film Studies and then went on to complete a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical program at Hunter College. I expect to enter medical school in 2016 and until then am enjoying this chance to pass on the material I've learned to other students! Since I came to the sciences a little later in life, I learned a lot of helpful tools and tricks to make these subjects more accessible and easier to remember. I myself am a visual learner, so I love to incorporate the use of drawings, diagrams, mnemonics, and other learning devices into my instruction.
