10+ years of tutoring
Frank
- Throughout my college years, and shortly afterwards, I tutored several students in subject areas of math and physics.
About Me
After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, I spent the next 15 years in the Engineering industry, working as a Heat Transfer Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Project Manager. For me, there is nothing more personally rewarding that seeing the mental "light bulb" turn on in a students eyes when they grasp a difficult concept for the first time. My tutoring philosophy is to teach concepts, rather than focusing on memorization. Concepts are best grasped via a methodical, logical, and consistent approach to problem solving. As such, my favorite subjects to tutor are most math classes (elementary math, all algebra levels, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, statistics); and science classes (physical science, physics and astronomy). I am also available to tutor Mechanical and Industrial Engineering courses. Some of my personal hobbies include playing golf, collecting coins, astronomy and astrophotography, and stock trading. I look forward to helping you or your child excel in the classroom!
