I, Faith Otieno received my Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Southern University in May 2012. I am currently pursuing a masters program in Business Administration at Texas Southern University. I enjoy tutoring business courses especially accounting, finance and economics. My experience as a tutor has enabled me to assist students in understanding difficult concepts, and this has normally resulted in a positive feedback. I have a passion to assist people in achieving academic goals and objectives. I do believe that knowledge is a powerful asset, and it can be attained through excellence in academics! Moreover, I can also tutor mathematics and English subjects. My teaching philosophy is to explain the difficult concept, and illustrate using an example for the student. Moreover, I do urge students to develop a study timetable that would enable them to review class materials in advance of the class time. My interests outside of academia include engaging in outdoor activities (rock climbing,kayaking) , going to the movies (comedy/action/thriller), visiting scenery attractions, travelling to new places, following a few television series, and reading inspirational books.
