I also hold Pennsylvania Certification in Secondary English and Social Studies. I began teaching high school English at Philadelphia's Simon Gratz High School and Cherry Hill (New Jersey) High School East. After a lengthy career in marketing and advertising, I returned to teaching at several of Philadelphia's magnet schools, including Franklin Learning Center, Lankanau High School and William Bodine High School for International Affairs. While at Bodine, I developed the curriculum for and taught the SAT Prep course. That year, the school achieved the highest scores on the PSSA English test in the its history. During my career I have taught English, Creative Writing, African American Literature, Filmmaking, Introduction to Communications, Journalism, World History, American History and African American History.
