My clients have ranged from middle school students who need help in physical science and pre-algebra to high school students preparing for the SAT or ACT and requiring tutoring in advanced chemistry and calculus. I have also tutored college students in general chemistry and college math through calculus. My tutoring style varies based on the student's needs. However, for math and science I have found a successful style usually involves finding example, homework, or test problems the student did not understand. After identifying these problems I can review or teach the necessary concepts to the student, then go back and help the student solve the problems correctly. I love the help students understand concepts they struggled with previously! I think a lot of dislike among students for math and science comes from a lack of understanding of the subject. Besides tutoring I also love music, specifically singing and playing the piano. I also enjoy playing sports such as volleyball, watching college sports, and playing board games with friends and family.
