About Me
In addition to my writing-intensive major, I took a well-rounded premedical course load with some of my favorite classes being physiology, anatomy, organic chemistry and microbiology. My experience includes helping my sister with her anatomy and other biology classes as well as tutoring a friend in chemistry and physics. My style of tutoring is a very collaborative process with lots of time for the person I'm tutoring to ask clarifying questions . I really enjoy taking seemingly difficult topics and explaining them in a logical fashion while emphasizing the basics every step of the way. I find that students' frustration with a concept generally stems from uncertainty regarding how to organize many intersecting ideas. Nothing makes me more proud then watching a student master a formerly daunting topic. When I'm not tutoring you can either find me salsa dancing at Atomic Cowboy, making pies, soups and fresh bread in my itsy-bitsy kitchen, or working at Pi on the Delmar Loop.
