I'm available to tutor biology, chemistry, physics, math from Algebra up through AP Calculus, SAT test prep, and French. I've been tutoring students in science and math for 7 years. I also spent 8 months working and studying in France, and have tutored high school and adult students in French. When I'm not working or studying, I love playing volleyball (indoors or on the beach!) and spending time outside, canoeing or hiking with my dog. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I am passionate about both. I have been a teaching assistant, tutor, researcher, guest lecturer, researcher, and am currently a practicing engineer.
I am a rising sophomore studying civil engineering at Cornell University. I enjoy tutoring math (algebra-calculus 3), high school and college physics, Spanish, and writing. I have experience tutoring throughout high school, where I was the head of a peer-tutoring program. I have continued tutoring in college as well.
I'm a junior at Yale University pursuing a double major in Linguistics and Theater. I have experience tutoring in a variety of subjects, but I'm particularly excited to help students with writing, critical reading, and SAT or ACT preparation. I had a strong support network of teachers and mentors throughout middle and high school, so I understand firsthand the importance of thoughtful, individualized educational enrichment. I seek to meet each student where they are in order to help them reach their greatest potential! When I'm not tutoring, you might find me performing improv comedy, playing saxophone, or trying to write the next great American musical.
I'm a senior undergraduate at Yale University studying biomedical engineering and will be starting my Ph.D next year. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and have travelled to a few other countries through study abroad programs and international conferences. I've been to China several times and love to practice my Chinese with others!
I am deeply passionate about tutoring and teaching more generally. Knowledge has allowed us to build skyscrapers and fly to the moon, and to learn more about the human condition - it is my ultimate aim to be a clear, concise, and motivating educator.
I'm a Chemical Engineering graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (Class of 2021)mand received a full tuition merit scholarship to attend. I have tutored high school and college students in Math, Spanish, French, Chemistry, and Physics. I got my start in tutoring in high school when I would help my friends study for tests. I realized how much I liked it, and I continued tutoring through college. My favorite subjects to tutor are Math, Chemistry, Spanish, and French.
I am excited to tutor any subject in the undergraduate Mechanical Engineering curriculum, and I have a particular fondness for Solid Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, and Mechanical Design.
I am anticipating starting a master's program in the fall. When I'm not working I enjoy playing and watching basketball, reading and exercise. I love learning and I am eager to share my skills and knowledge with others.

I am a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology and minored in chemistry. During my time at UPenn, I had the pleasure of serving as a mentor for a College Achievement Program, where I utilized my time to help my pre-med and engineering students face their science courses, among other things. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology and Chemistry. My experience of preparing for the MCAT exam (and scoring in the 94th percentile) motivated me to help other students struggling to prepare for this Standardized Test. I am very passionate about learning and obtaining knowledge and believe it to be absolutely necessary in order to thrive in every aspect of your life; therefore, I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students with patience and dedication.
I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Drexel University College of Medicine. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience and I am pursuing a residency in internal medicine. Teaching has been a passion of mine for nearly a decade. I have tutored at the high school, college, and medical school level in many math and science subjects and for the SAT, MCAT, and USMLE. I am a recent graduate of Drexel University, in which I obtained a BS in Biological Sciences with a concentration in organismal physiology. During my college years, I was a peer tutor who would help struggling classmates in many math and science subjects. I also served as a merit badge counselor in my Boy Scout troop, teaching scouts (ages 12-17) in subjects such as First Aid and Emergency Preparedness. These experiences inspired me to continue this passion, striving to make learning a fun, insightful, and a lifelong process while helping students learn in the easiest and most effective way possible. My favorite subject to teach is math, specifically the SAT/ACT math sections. As someone who values education and intellectual curiosity, I hope to impose this same philosophy on my students. In my 7+ months working with Varsity Tutors, I have found profound satisfaction in helping students to the top of their class and increasing their test scores. I am a very flexible tutor willing to work around students' schedules.
I am currently working towards a degree in engineering, most recently attending the University of Maryland, Clark School of Engineering as an out-of-state student originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I specialize in tutoring all ranges of mathematics. Math and the sciences of physics, chemistry, and biology have always been my strongest areas as a student. I believe my experience as a tutor and understanding of learning processes make me a capable and proficient tutor. My tutoring style is initially problem based. I believe the best way to gauge a student's capability in any subject is to provide questions that reveal the foundation and challenges of the subject being taught. In observing the student's approach to problem-solving and then providing active aid where helpful, I can find where the student is lacking in understanding. From this starting point, I then more directly teach to the issues in developing a complete and applicable understanding of the subject matter. Beyond academia, my main passion has always been athletics. I have played many sports during my amateur career with my longest and most active participation in Ice Hockey. I played in the PAHL for 11 years, the PIHL for 4 years, and the ACHA for 3 years while attending the University of Maryland. I love following the NFL and the NHL. My apologies to the local fanbases, but the Penguins and the Steelers have always been my favorite teams to root for! Outside of athletics I also have a strong interest in all types of games; board, card, and otherwise. I enjoy game theory and have recently developed a passion for chess. I look forward to working with your student and developing their confidence in the subject matter at hand, while growing their ability to better help themself!
I am majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science and a minor in Math. During my time in college, I have tutored and taught underserved students in Computer Science whether they were prepping for the AP exam or first time coding. As humans get technologically more advanced, I am a firm believer in introducing Computer Science earlier in education. Computer Science can be used in almost every field out there. Although I have a plenty of experiences teaching Computer Science, I have also tutored students in STEM subjects, in particular math and physics.

I believe that by making complex concepts relevant to their prospective careers, I can inspire students to excel. Additionally, my experience as a teaching assistant has honed my ability to communicate effectively across diverse learning styles and in online environments, ensuring that every student feels supported on their educational journey.
I am an undergraduate student at Temple University. I am currently working toward a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and am particularly interested in automotive engineering. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my favorites are general physics and algebra. In helping students prepare for the ACT, I am particularlly helpful in the math and science portions of the exams. I personally stress the foundations of any subject, due to the confusion in basic building blocks of knowledge compounding at higher levels. My hobbies and interests include lifting weights, watching football and learning about new technology in my free time.
I am a recent graduate of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Womens & Gender Studies. Having been a science nerd throughout high school, I knew that I would want to study biochemistry at university, but I also wanted to strengthen my writing, analytical, and research abilities in a non-scientific context. So focusing on both was perfect for me because I was able to develop analytical and problem-solving skills in two very different contexts. Having this background also allows me to feel comfortable tutoring a range of subjects.
I'm a senior at the University of Pittsburgh double majoring in Neuroscience and Spanish and minoring in Chemistry.
I am currently a student at Stanford University studying math and political science. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with younger students. I have helped students of different ages and from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, and so I am very conscious of the needs and prior knowledge my students and tailor my tutoring method and style individually.
I am a third year electrical engineering student at Princeton University, with a focus in applied physics, and minors in German studies and history. I want to tutor because I am always excited about learning new things, and I want to share this with students of all ages. I find that this way, a student can do difficult work, excel, and feel both accomplished and happy. I have a broad range of specialties, from physics, to programming in Java and C, to German, to test prep and college applications help. I also love workshopping all kinds of writing, whether personal or academic. Some of my qualifications include physics research at a Max Planck Institute and acceptances to Harvard and UC Berkeley. I am current master's student pursuing an advanced degree in environmental engineering. I have about 3 years of experience tutoring a standard math and science curricula to students ranging in age from 7-17. I attended college at Washington University in St. Louis receiving a degree in mechanical engineering and energy engineering in 2020. During my time there, I worked as a teaching assistant for several different engineering courses, tutoring students outside of class in the calculus and physics related topics. As someone that benefitted greatly from tutors and teaching assistants, I really love being able to help students that are struggling in certain areas. I am able to help with standardized tests, focusing on math and science sections, AP Calculus and AP Physics exams, and high school math.
I am available to help students with any topics they are struggling with in their high school or early college-level Physics courses.
I am a rising senior at Duke University. I major in Computer Science and am also getting a minor in Physics. I have had experience tutoring/teaching as a teaching assistant for three classes: Intro to Databases, Electricity and Magnetism (for engineers), and Computer Network Architecture. I have had industry experience in software development as an intern for IBM and a cybersecurity analyst for TIAA. Outside of school/work, I play the piano and train with the Duke Taekwondo Club. I have a strong background in computer science, physics, and math, but I love learning about and helping students with a wide variety of subjects!
I'm a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Physics and Classics and minoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. I'm qualified to teach a wide variety of subjects, but prefer to focus on the fields I'm studying in school listed above; I have a passion for those areas that I want to share with everyone, no matter the education level or confidence. I believe that no one is "bad at math," but many people haven't been taught math and science concepts in a way that matches how they best learn. As a result, I try to tailor my teaching style to be the best it can be for each individual student. With regard to math and physics, I myself prefer a physical, graphical understanding of different concepts, so I do best at explaining what seemingly abstract concepts actually mean in the real world and how they act on a graph.
I am a rising college sophomore who will be attending Duke University on a full merit scholarship in the fall. I love to run cross country and play the viola, as well as tutoring students in a whole variety of subjects! Feel free to message me!
I am currently conducting breast cancer research as the lab manager in an immunology lab at Columbia University Medical Center. I am extremely comfortable with physics and mathematics (from my studies) as well as biology, chemistry, and biochemistry (through my research experience) and sincerely enjoy tutoring students in those areas. I also enjoy tutoring for standardized tests. While I was studying for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT, all of my preparation was through self-study; as a result, I have a unique approach to preparing for tests that emphasizes knowing the test itself more than the actual material. In addition to tutoring natural sciences and standardized test prep, I tutor Spanish, which I studied for 7 years and spoke for a year while living in Spain. In my spare time, I play guitar, cook for my friends, read, and play with my cat Suki.
I am an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I have tutored students since my early high school years. I've had experience instructing and guiding a variety of students, from young middle schoolers taking their first steps into the world of computer programming to my own peers struggling with their calculus exams. Over the past year alone, I've worked with over 30 students, spending several hours each day to help them stay up to speed on their schoolwork. I specialize in many areas of math as well as computer science, biology and physics. When tutoring students, I draw on my own experience with learning the material to identify and address the obstacles they face. I believe that promoting a deeper level of understanding of the subject, as opposed to merely teaching to the test or problem set, will enable students to excel in the long-term.
I'm a freshman at Stanford University pursuing a degree in mathematical and computational science. I've been tutoring students from grades 3-12 throughout high school, and I look forward to continue in college. Nothing excites me more than learning something new, and I strive to share my excitement with my tutees.
I'm a rising junior at Brown University studying biomedical engineering. I have lots of experience in middle school through college level instruction in STEM and SAT/ACT prep. My goal is to provide a fun and productive learning environment by only teaching subjects that I am passionate about.
I am planning on entering medical school at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the fall.
