I am interested in Physics and Mathematics and working out practical problems from plumbing to electronics. I will someday go back for my Ph.D. in Physics but until then I am looking to grow as an engineer or computer programmer.

I am now in the final months of my MA in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice at Queen's University Belfast. While living in Belfast, I have volunteer facilitated creative writing workshops for young people, served as a youth mentor at a local community centre, worked as a Reading Mentor for youth in foster care, and run the social media channels for my university's Humanities department.

I am currently working on a Biotechnology degree after changing from an Aerospace Engineering degree after getting married. I have extensive experience in Mathematics and Science, and I am a very capable writer as well. I can tutor nearly any S.T.E.M course up through highschool (and some college), along with English and grammar - more specifically paper writing - up to an early college level.

I am a graduate of Texas Christian University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science. During this time, I was a tutor for the Departments of Economics and Mathematics, where I gained a passion for seeing the "click" of knowledge, where information becomes made personal. Since graduation, I have have been pursuing my Master of Public Administration at the University of Kansas. My career mission is to work in City Management, applying math, social sciences, communication, and other fields to serve the public in a multidisciplinary manner. I am a firm believer in being a well-around, global citizen, so that entails being moderately versed in many fields of study. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Economics, Math, and Standardized Testing. I believe that education is the path to an enlightened life, so I look forward to joining you on that journey. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, film/television, stand-up comedy, and playing/watching all sports.

I am a certified English teacher and Principal in the State of Missouri. I believe that students are under more pressure than ever to succeed in school. However, due to the ever increasing class sizes that some of the best schools are experiencing students are not able to receive the personal attention that some of them need to be at their best. That is why tutoring can be so valuable. I am able to work one on one with a student which allows me to devote all my time to helping them with their particular problems. I am able to help students understand what it is they are being asked to do, assist them in accomplishing it and finally, provide them the ability to recall the information for future use.

I am able to tutor many different areas of math, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. Of these, my favorite is definitely Calculus, because I think that there are many people with misconceptions about the subject, and I enjoy showing people that there is nothing to afraid of, and that it can actually be fun!

I am a recent graduate of Missouri State University with a BS in Chemistry, emphasis in biochemistry. In my final semester of college, I tutored chemistry online, and I can honestly say it was the most enjoyable job I've ever had. I am a scientist, so I mainly tutor chemistry, but I am also an excellent essay writer, editor, and test taker. As a result I am well equipped to tutor chemistry, physics, biology, math, essay writing, report writing, editing, and ACT Prep. I love seeing students with a genuine interest in chemistry and giving them the guidance and tools to understand its toughest concepts. In my spare time, I am an avid video gamer, artist, cyclist, and a player of ultimate frisbee.

I am currently working towards an Aerospace Engineering degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder. In high school, I worked with 5th grade students tutoring math. Beyond that, I was always avaliable to help my classmates learn topics that I may have understood better at the time. Overall, math and science courses are my favorite to help people with because I enjoy those courses myself and think the knowledge is not hard to learn if given the right teacher and enough time. In teaching, I like to understand the level of comprehension the student has first before just going in and telling them what he/she should do. It is more effective to learn how to teach yourself the knowledge than to just be able to regurgitate it onto a test. I am a graduate of Rockhurst University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in English Literature. Upon graduating, I became certified to teach both elementary education (grades 1-6) and English Language Arts (grades 5-9) in the state of Missouri. I have spent the past two years teaching seventh grade reading and writing, and I have loved every minute of it! Not only do I love helping my students understand new concepts in my subject areas, but I also really enjoy sharing literature, both classics and new fiction, with them in hopes it will foster a love of reading. I believe in the power of literature to spark critical thinking and help students make meaningful connections to their lives and the lives of others. It may come as no surprise that one of my chief hobbies is reading; I try to read fifty new novels every year, many of which I can then recommend to my students! I tutor a broad range of subjects, most notably English, Literature, and ACT/SAT Test Preparations, but regardless of what I am tutoring, my teaching philosophy and style stems from building relationships with my students. While I have a great innate desire to help the next generation learn and succeed, I realize that the first step to doing so is getting to know my students and their individual needs. Only then can I create truly meaningful, relevant, and applicable lessons and tutoring sessions that will help them learn and grow. My passion is to help students realize their potential as life-long learners and help them succeed as they navigate their educational paths.
