I'm a passionate explorer, educator, and scientist. I am a Planetary Science Researcher (PhD, 2008). I write grants to NASA to use spacecraft data to study the composition and evolution of rocky planetary bodies (Moon, Mercury, asteroids). My research is broad and interdisciplinary that equips me to tutor many subjects and also to show students connections between subjects when it improves subject mastery. I have been teaching and tutoring for over twenty years, at every level of my education and career. In high school I taught aerospace education and aviation search and rescue while I earned my pilot's license. As an undergraduate at Duke I tutored athletes in Geology, Calculus, and Electrical Engineering core courses and I was a teaching assistant for Computer Science and Linear Circuits Laboratory. In graduate school I was a teaching assistant in geology. And as a professor, I've taught undergraduate and graduate science courses at a major U.S. research university. Most recently I designed a combined English and Engineering elective to students with limited English Proficiency at a small university in Colombia.

I am proud to say that, over the past 30-plus years, I have had many of my students go on to post-secondary education in Math, Physics, and Engineering.

I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Biotechnology and in the Burnett Medical Scholars Program.

I am currently a Harvard student majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics. I graduated Class Valedictorian in high school and was named National Merit Finalist. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.

I am also adept in tutoring english grammar, language, and literature. There are few things I enjoy more than a true challenge, whether it be physical or mental. I aspire to be a great inventor and hope that my ideas and creations may simplify life as we know it and bring health, comfort, and joy to the masses. My favorite book is "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett and I recommend that everyone read promptly.

I'm an undergraduate at Princeton University working toward a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with the Sustainable Energy Certificate.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am also a graduate of the high school International Baccalaureate Program. I have informal experience tutoring high school physics, but am most passionate about tutoring students for the ACT standardized test, having had extensive experience preparing for standardized tests throughout high school. I am eager to aid students in boosting their scores before their upcoming college applications, an important milestone in many students' lives. In my free time, I also enjoy playing tennis.

I am a sophomore at the Georgia Institute of Technology and am working towards a major in Computer Engineering. I have been tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds in various math topics ranging from elementary school math to AP Calculus throughout high school. I love teaching math and always find it amazing to watch my students grow and improve in their mathematical abilities. While helping students with standardized testing, we go through several tricks and tactics that have helped my students succeed and have fun in the process. I am also well versed in Physics and have spent 3 years taking the highest levels of physics courses. I love playing all sports (especially soccer) and enjoy playing the guitar in my free time as well.

I'm Veena and I recently graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology with Chemistry and English Literature as my minors. I've tutored at a Math and Reading learning center in high school and became an employee of the Academic Resource Center at UM where I tutored my peers in STEM subjects. I was an assistant science teacher at a middle school for a year, and a workshop leader for chemistry classes at UM.

I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Pure and Applied Mathematics as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy and Physics. I have enjoyed studying math and science since I was in elementary school. I would always help my friends out by answering their questions about the material. For about the last five years, I have had my own tutoring business where I have tutored a wide variety of math courses from elementary school math to pre-calculus and calculus. I like to make sure my students have a complete understanding of the core concepts before going into practice questions. I have also had experience helping my peers with physics and computer science courses.

I'm in my 2nd year of medical school at the University of Central Florida. I previously graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and Education Studies. I was an Academic Mentor for underprivileged San Diego communities. I was also a Teaching Assistant for the Biology department at UCSD. I have taught in a variety of settings; from one-on-one tutoring to review sessions for 300 people in a lecture hall. I primarily tutor MCAT, SAT, and the SAT.

I am currently a senior in the Honors program, on track to graduate summa cum laude, and approaching completion of an undergraduate thesis on my work in the university's nanotechnology lab.

I am one year from completing my Bachelor of Science at the Florida Institute of Technology. I find that most students struggle in math and physics because they lack true engagement towards these topics, it is my personal philosophy that how you learn a subject can immensely impact your abilities to succeed in and willingness to pursue related subjects in your academic career. I enjoy working with all ages, as I believe it is never too late to start learning and I enjoy helping students become passionate about their studies. Personally; I am passionate about the fundamental interplay between foundational mathematics and its applications to higher-level physics. My tutoring style/strategies require interactive engagement with students and honest communication; this allows me to understand precisely what is necessary to enhance your learning experience, and encourages students to engage with the content with curiosity and excitement. I feel comfortable tutoring subjects ranging from elementary school mathematics, up to college level mathematics and physics courses. I'm a current student at the University of Central Florida and I love to tutor passionate students in a variety of subjects. I've taken and passed 15 AP exams in high school, and I've taken several courses at UCF that I could tutor as well.

I'm not shy, but if you are it's ok I once was too. I'm a student of the mind and so all of my teachings will be tailored toward each individual or group traits that day. It's ok to fail, but don't allow yourself to quit. Learning is hard sometimes because everyone's brain understands things in a different way. But those differences, when explored, can make learning fun and make complex topics easier to understand. I'm not the old guy who loves hearing his own voice and likes to stand; so I don't lecture. I like to keep teaching/learning process fun, interactive, and creative because no one likes to be bored and confused. So involvement is key!

I'm currently an undergraduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. I mostly tutor subjects that reside in the STEM field as those subjects are my strong points. I have been a tutor in the past back in high school. During that time, I realized that helping students understand difficult material can be very awarding. In my free time, when I'm not studying for school or practicing sports, I like to play video games and hangout with friends. Every once in a while I'll pick up my violin and play songs that I've learned in the past; I find it very relaxing.

I am currently a student at the University of Miami, studying to get my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, with an Electrical Concentration. I have always been mathematically inclined, scoring very highly in all standardized tests in the math and science portions. I am currently working for a tutoring service called Princeton Tutoring as an independent contractor. As a member of their tutoring base, I instruct students in Math, Physics, AP Exams and most often, the SAT. I have obtained outstanding scores and am confident I can convey instruction and techniques that have worked for me. I have a solid foundation in the Spanish language and am completely fluent in German and Russian.

I am a UCLA Bioengineer. I am a well qualified tutor and have had many years of experience in both paid and unpaid roles from 6th grade to 12 grade to present. I have always excelled in academics, math, writing, and english and have scored well on all standardized tests and state tests. I have scored 800/800 in SAT 1 math, SAT 2 math. I have scored 760/800 in SAT writing. I received scores of 5/5 in AP Calculus AB and BC and have taken numerous other APs, passing the APs in Physics, Biology, Literature, Language and Composition, Environmental Science, Economics, US history, and Chemistry. I was the President of my high school's only tutoring club and only math club, Infinity Math Club, where I dedicated my time tutoring struggling students in all math levels. I was a tutor in my high school's RAMS program for all academic subjects. I love working with students and love to see them succeed in subjects that they once struggled in.

I'm an MIT undergrad studying Urban Planning. I loved math in science in school, but know that it can be frustrating and easy to dislike when taught in a way that is difficult to understand, or when it seems useless and pointless to learn. I'm an Iowa native who moved to Nashville for graduate school. My background is in the life sciences; I have a Masters from Vanderbilt in Chemical and Physical Biology, and my undergraduate degree is in Biochemistry. However, my education has been well rounded and I have interests in philosophy, literature, writing, and history. I have extensive research experience, and I hope to share my passion for science with students. I have experience mentoring undergraduate students during my graduate school education to help them gain research experience. I am a very patient teacher and have the ability to see problems from the students perspective; my tutoring style adapts to each student's individual needs, but centers on getting each student to come to their solutions rather than following any one formula for success. I have a lot of experience with standardized testing, and have taken multiple AP subject tests in addition to the ACT, SAT, and GRE examinations.

I am currently a student at Stanford University studying math and political science. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with younger students. I'm Nick! I'm a current undergraduate at MIT and a chemistry major. I specialize in chemistry and all sorts of math, but I also am proficient in French and Physics. I can also help with ACT preparation.

I'm not tutoring or buried in my textbooks, you will either find me rock climbing at the Triangle Rock Club, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working on my car, or enjoying the great outdoors (beaches, mountains, forests--you name it, I love it). On rainy weekends I enjoy tinkering with computers and old electronics, playing Pokemon, or picking at my guitar.
