My interest in tutoring writing and English began with familiar elements: a love of these subjects and a desire to work in an area generally focused on people and ideas. However, as I've looked back more carefully at my own learning experience over the years, I've come to understand that tutoring is about personal and global discovery. Tutoring is students learning about their strengths and weaknesses and their connection to the world of larger knowledge that can be guided and cultivated care

I'm big on hiking in Maryland and Virginia. One of my favorite places is the Billy Goat trail down in Potomac. I'm also into reading. I just started a book by Neal Stephenson, one of my science fiction favorite authors. I write stories as well in short fiction, fantasy, and science fiction.
