About Me
As a passionate educator with a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Boston, I bring 20 years of tutoring and classroom experience to my students. I specialize in English grammar and pronunciation, ESL/ELL, and high school writing and reading, and I am dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves. My teaching philosophy centers around personalized instruction, enthusiasm and engagement, and adapting my methods to meet each student's unique needs and learning styles. I find immense joy in helping students achieve their academic goals, whether it's mastering essay writing, fluent conversation, or passing a standardized test.
Hobbies & Interests
I am an avid traveler, and I spent most of my 20's living and working in Europe and Asia. I love playing card games and board games, especially with friends and my growing family. I love the outdoors, and I'm always ready for an adventure—whether it's hiking and camping, or just a relaxing day at the beach.
