I am a recently retired attorney with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Tufts University, who has tutored and mentored children and young adults for many years. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to express their ideas and develop critical thinking skills. My goal is always to establish trust and a path for open communication so I can assist the student in gaining a real understanding of the information. I look forward to helping with subjects such as AP U.S. Government &; Politics, High School English, and LSAT preparation. I have a college-age daughter and live in Maryland. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, meeting new people, reading and exploring new perspectives through travel, which further enhances my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
