Hi! I'm a certified Texas teacher with 8 years of experience, specializing in 6th-8th grade Math and Algebra 1. I hold certifications in Core Subjects and K-12 Special Education, with degrees from Tarleton State University and Liberty Theological Seminary. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on breaking difficult concepts into everyday examples students can understand. I love helping students build confidence by celebrating small winsand yes, sometimes that means reminding them they're "cooking with peanut oil!" Tutoring gives me the opportunity to see effort turn into real progress. Math may not always be a student's favorite subject, but I enjoy showing students that it can be useful, understandable, and even fun.
